Pop star and former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson has been spotted at one of Kent's most luxury hotels earlier today.

The singer who rose to fame after the all girl group won the X Factor in 2011, was spotted at The Cave Hotel and Golf Resort, on the outskirts of Canterbury, dining with a pal.

Jesy, who who quit the girl group in December last year, was photographed with Jamie Ayles, who managed to persuade her to pose for the camera.

One man who was also enjoying at beer at the venue but didn't want to be named said: "She had a bite to eat on the decking with a friend."

Jesy hit the headlines in recent days as fans were convinced she was returning to X Factor, but this time as a new judge.

Eagle-eyed fans had noticed an update on the Wikipedia page for The X Factor that lists the Black Magic hitmaker as a judge for the show's 16th series, which is expected to return to screens in autumn next year.

However, another fan shared a direct message the singer had sent her about the reports and denied they were true.

The 41-room hotel opened last year on the grounds of the former Boughton Golf Club, off the A2 between Faversham and Canterbury.

With spacious rooms, a lavish pool area and 250 acres of land, it is billed as "an affordable luxury hotel with a five-star feel", but like most hotels it was forced to close in March due to the coronavirus outbreak.

However, it has now reopened it's 6,500-yard golf course, with limited a number of players allowed at a time.

The Cave prides itself on its Firepit restaurant, where international flavours are fused to create an "indulgent, reimagined menu".

The hotel is expected to fully reopen in July, with social distancing measures in place.
