People are being warned not to approach this violent offender who is on the loose and might be armed.

Craig Brown - who has convictions for manslaughter, robbery, assault and criminal damage - is wanted by Kent Police as he has been recalled to prison.

He was released from prison in 2011, but has since failed to comply with the conditions of a life licence.

Detectives have now released an image of Brown, who is 37, described as of medium build and 5ft 11ins.

He is also said to have connections with the Faversham, Sheerness and Dover areas.

Kent Police said anyone who recognises Brown should not approach him.

The force said he is considered to be dangerous and might be armed.

DS Ian Sanderson said: "Craig Brown is subject of a recall to prison. He poses a significant threat and I would urge the public to come forward with information as to his whereabouts."

It is believed he may be staying with his girlfriend, who is also wanted by Kent Police.

She is 32 and has a tattoo of a swallow on a shoulder.

Anyone with information is asked to phone DS Ian Sanderson on 01634 792230 or Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
