Ray Turner want Faversham Town to keep momentum
10:27, 17 March 2011
Faversham Town have plenty to play for in Ryman League, Division 1 South despite a run of five games without a win, according to assistant manager Ray Turner.
The Lilywhites welcome Burgess Hill Town to the Shepherd Neame Stadium on Saturday for what could prove a pivotal match in deciding the outcome of the league’s play-off race.
Faversham head into the clash with fifth-placed Burgess Hill seven points adrift of their opponents and are determined to finish the season strongly.
Turner (pictured) said: "I think the club has had momentum on and off the field for the last few seasons.
"We don’t want the campaign to just drift away into a mid-table finish and are certainly not in a position to do that as we have something to play for."

Last Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at leaders Bognor Regis extended the club’s winless run to five games.
Turner admitted there were no excuses for recent defeats and was confident Faversham would continue to produce the performances which have seen them become one of the division’s surprise packages.
Turner added: "We have just got to go in with the mentality of trying to get as many points as possible and treat it the same as any other game."
