A290 closed after serious crash near Canterbury

A road was closed after a serious traffic collision.
The A290 was shut in the Canterbury and Whitstable area.
Police were called to a single-vehicle collision in Pean Hill, Whitstable, at around 2.45am today.
The road closure was between Denstroude Lane and Clapham Hill roundabout.
Police and paramedics attended the scene of the incident.
One person was taken to hospital with injuries.
The road has since reopened.
