Pean Hill closed in both directions after car crashes into telegraph pole

A stretch of road which claimed the life of a 22-year-old man last month has been shut after another smash on Monday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to Pean Hill near Blean at 4.25pm after a blue Renault Clio hit a telegraph pole and ripped it out of the ground.
The female was driver was taken to hospital for a check up and had no serious injruies.
The road was closed in both directions between Fox's Cross Road and Denstroude Lane.
Firefighters from Herne Bay and workers from UK Power Networks were called to the scene. The road was reopened at 6.30pm.
Just three weeks ago a 22-year-old man was rushed to hospital after crashing into a pole along the same stretch. He died on Saturday, June 1.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
