Rubble smoulders in Chartham Hatch after huge log yard blaze
10:55, 03 November 2017
Firefighters are still at the scene of a blaze which caused thousands of pounds worth of damage last night.
Hundreds of bins stacked with logs and apples went up in smoke at a processing yard in Chartham Hatch.
Crews are still monitoring the smouldering rubble in Howfield Lane.
At its height, 20 firefighters tackled the blaze along the help of the owner of the site who moved unburnt bins away from the flames.
The fire did eventually come under control late last night after the emergency services were called at about 8.50pm.
