Heartbreak as horse found dead in field in Brenley near Faversham
12:14, 05 February 2015
These shocking images show the body of an emaciated horse which was found dead in a field off a private road.
A reader contacted us after a friend saw the animal – described as “skinny and in a poor state” – lying with recent tyre marks near it.
On closer inspection the pal realised the horse was dead.
Amy Daniels, who sent in the photos, said: “He had passed droppings and there were clear tyre marks leading right up to him which to me implies he was dumped there in a very weak state where he later died."
Ms Daniels said the horse was discovered on land near Brenley, Faversham, on Tuesday and was still there the following day.
She returned today but the body had been removed.
Ms Daniels has contacted the RSPCA and the police.
