Sick hamster left to suffer
00:00, 03 July 2008
The RSPCA have condemned the dumping of a sick hamster found in a cardboard box in Canterbury.
The pet, which had a large tumour, eye infections and breathing problems, was discovered in Regency Place.
It was taken to a vet but put to sleep to end its suffering.
RSPCA inspector Miranda Albinson said: “This poor hamster was suffering terribly.
"It is an offence to dump an animal like this and we would like to hear from anyone who knows who left it here.”
The RSPCA can be contacted in confidence on 0300 1234999.
