University bosses in Kent and police are investigating a "deeply disturbing" Snapchat post of two young men carrying out a sick re-enactment of George Floyd's arrest.
The image of him lying under the knee of a policeman shortly before he died has sparked outrage across the globe - with tens of thousands of people taking to the streets to protest.
But a picture posted on social media shows two yobs recreating the horrifying moment and writing "#justiceforgeorgefloyd".
In the post, one person can be seen pushing his knee into the neck of another who is lying motionless on the floor.
It has since sparked outrage, with some sharing the post alleging the men are students and calling for the university to "kick them out".
A spokesperson for the University of Kent said: "We are investigating, alongside Kent Union, this deeply disturbing and highly insensitive image.
"The University of Kent does not tolerate racism in any form and is taking this matter very seriously."
A police spokesperson said the exact location of the video is yet to be established but it is not believed to have taken place in Kent.
"Inquiries remain ongoing into the circumstances of the image including whether any criminal offences have taken place," they said.
Anyone with information should contact the community safety unit by calling 101.
