Traffic along a major road is slow following an accident earlier this afternoon.

The A2 Londonbound between Canterbury and Faversham had been reported to be at a standstill, with cars queuing before the Boughton Bypass at Dunkirk.

Traffic has been temporarily released but is slow due to the holding of traffic, which lasted for about 45 minutes.

National Highways have warned: “There are delays of 30 minutes and approx. 3 miles of congestion on approach.”
