Canterbury underpass taped off after reports of serious assault

Police cordoned off a city centre underpass following reports of an assault on a man in his 60s.
The busy subway in St George's Place, Canterbury, was taped off by officers investigating the attack at 7am this morning.
The victim suffered a leg injury and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
As many as five patrol cars and two ambulances were called to the scene.
The cordon was lifted at 9.35am.
Officers are reviewing CCTV of the area and have released a description of the suspect.
He is described as white, in his 30s or 40s and of a slim build.
He was wearing a black hooded top, baggy blue jeans, a red and white baseball cap and black Adidas trainers.
