An American fast-food giant has launched its seventh restaurant in Kent.
Taco Bell's newest site in High Street, Canterbury, has started taking Deliveroo orders of its Mexican-inspired food for the first time this afternoon.
It is understood the business, which is located next to cosmetics shop Lush, will begin welcoming diners wanting to eat inside the premises when it fully opens in the first week of January.
The branch's menu features tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos and loaded fries.
The city centre site had sat empty for the last two years, after clothing store Jigsaw closed for good in 2020.
Taco Bell is also working to launch a drive-thru restaurant towards the outskirts of Canterbury on a yet-to-be-built trade park off Sturry Road.
Last month, another South American-style restaurant, Tortilla, opened in the city centre, having taken up residence in the former Sta Travel unit next to Pizza Hut.
The restaurant employs 20 members of staff and is the firm's second branch in the county, with it already having one at Bluewater.
Tortilla, which prides itself on being the UK’s largest fast-casual Mexican chain, has 58 sites across the UK.
