Teenage girl fights off attacker

A TEENAGE girl fought off a man who attacked her when she was out walking her dog. She was left cut and bruised after the attack in Woolage Green at Canterbury.
The girl She was walking along Forstal Road when she noticed a man on the other side of the street. He crossed the road, slapped her across the face and knocked her to the ground. But she fought back screaming and kicking at him until he ran off.
Det Sgt Graeme Dinsdale said: "This was a frightening attack on a young girl which could have been much worse if she hadn't managed to fight her attacker off."
The man was white, between 35 and 40 years old, around 5ft 8in tall, of medium build with short black hair brushed forward over his forehead. He was wearing a dark waist length jacket, dark trousers and gloves. He had a local accent.
Det Sgt Dinsdale added: "I would urge anyone who was in the area of Forstal Road on Wednesday night and may have witnessed the attack or anyone who recognises the suspects description to contact Canterbury CID on 01227 817154."
