Three arrests after diesel stolen from parked lorries on A2 in Canterbury

Police have made three arrests after diesel was stolen from lorries parked up on the A2 in Canterbury.
Between Sunday and Tuesday, fuel was taken from a number of HGVs in lay-bys near Barham and Harbledown.
Officers from the East Kent criminal investigation department stopped a suspicious vehicle in New Dover Road just after 1.30am on Wednesday.
Three men, aged 40, 29 and 24, were arrested on suspicion of theft and going equipped.
A number of tools were also seized.
The suspects have all subsequently been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
