Three fire engines were called to Canterbury city centre this morning after smoke was spotted in a building.
Crews attended St Margaret's Street just after 11.30am and surveyed the area.
No action was required and it is thought the smoke was coming from an electrical fitting in one of the street's buildings.
There was no fire and no one was injured.
The fire service has since left the scene, after staying in the street for about 25 minutes.
