Traffic was at a standstill on Canterbury's ring-road following a crash involving a lorry near the city's castle.
A damaged BMW was facing the wrong way on Pin Hill at Wincheap Roundabout.
Tailbacks stretched as far as Westgate Towers and police - who were alerted to the crash at 10.30am - were at the scene trying to direct traffic.
All routes onto the ring-road at Wincheap were snarled up as a result of the incident.
Police say no one was injured.
