An emergency road closure is expected to cause traffic misery along a busy commuting route.
Kingsmead Road in Canterbury is set to shut shortly as South East Water workers fix a burst water main.
It will be closed between the A28 Sturry Road and St Stephen’s Road junctions.
A notice posted by Kent County Council on X does not say how long the work will take to complete.
But the closure is expected to cause traffic misery in the area and is likely to cause problems on the busy A28.
In a post, KCC said: “The road will shortly be closed between the A28 Sturry Road and St Stephen’s Road junctions for South East Water’s burst water main repairs.
“Expect delays in the surrounding areas.”
South East Water has been approached for more information.
