Trains through a Kent station were diverted after a trespasser was spotted on the line.
Police were called to Sturry, near Canterbury, at about 4.50pm following reports a person was on the tracks.
Services between Ramsgate and Ashford were diverted through Dover Priory due to the incident, as power had to be turned off for the safety of the response staff and the trespasser.
Southeastern says trains are now running through Sturry again, after the person was detained by police.
A spokesman for the rail operator said: "The power has been turned back on and trains will commence running again between Canterbury and Ramsgate via Sturry."
Police have been contacted for comment.
