Trial date set for duo accused of Canterbury high street murder

A trial date for a duo accused of murdering a man in a high street has been set.
Kemal Ibrahim, 24, and Mohammed Hgar, 31, are accused of killing Samare Gerezgihir in Canterbury city centre on the evening of October 10.
Ibrahim, of Long Acre Close, Canterbury, and Hgar, of no fixed address, deny murdering the 23-year-old.
At Maidstone Crown Court today it was confirmed the pair will go on trial at Canterbury Crown Court on March 31 next year.
Both men also face a charge of possession of a bladed article in a public place, while Ibrahim faces an additional charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The duo were remanded in custody to appear on November 12 in Canterbury for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
