Two unexploded bombs have been discovered within two miles of each other, sparking an emergency response.
The devices were bizarrely unearthed in separate parts of Canterbury yesterday afternoon.
Shortly after 3pm yesterday, police were called to St Dunstan's Street, following a report an old munition had been discovered in a garden.
A specialist Explosive Ordnance Disposal team attended and carried out a controlled explosion of the item.
But just a few hours later and less than two miles away from the original incident, the discovery of a second suspected device sparked another bomb alert.
Emergency services were called to a building site off Folly Farm Gardens, near new housing on the outskirts of Canterbury, after what was believed to be a Second World War munition was found.
The Army was called in to help and at about 6pm the device was detonated in a controlled explosion.
It was carried out by members of the Royal Logistics Corps.
