Two Kent chippies have been listed in a guide of the UK's best.
One shop in Thanet, and another in Canterbury, have made the exclusive guide to the places dishing up quality fish and chips.
Compiled by judges from the industry, the Official Guide to the UK’s Quality Fish and Chip Shops 2021 has been released today.
Ramsgate's Newington Fish Bar makes up one half of the Kent showing, with the eatery adding the accreditation to numerous other accolades it has won over the years.
Meanwhile, Marino's Fish Bar in Wincheap has also been awarded a place in the guide.
Both restaurants have been operating since the 1980s.
Andrew Crook, president of the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF), said: "The quality accreditation showcases the leading fish and chip takeaways across the UK, the shops that we all love to buy our fish supper from.
"The NFFF quality accreditation assessment is extremely comprehensive.
"Achieving it provides reassurance to customers that they are being served delicious food using high-quality ingredients."
