Police are looking for witnesses after two men were attacked in Canterbury city centre.

The incident took place outside Alberry's pub in St Margaret's Street.

The victims were reportedly assaulted by two men who were with a group of other men.

The group then ran off towards Castle Street.

It happened between 2.30am and 2.45am on Good Friday, March 25, but details have only just been released.

Alberry's was closed at the time of the attack.

Two men aged 19 and 20 were arrested on suspicion of assault and have been released on bail while officers make further inquires.

Police have spoken to a number of witnesses but say they would still like to speak to anyone who saw the assault or has information who has not already spoken to them.
