Police appeal after robbery in Zealand Road, Canterbury

Thugs wearing face coverings punched a man sat in his car before stealing cash and his mobile phone.

Police are appealing for information after the victim was attacked while sitting in his parked car in Canterbury .

The victim reported being approached by four men in Zealand Road on Sunday at about 7.10pm.

The men reportedly made threats to their victim unless he handed over his belongings, before punching him in the face.

They then took his mobile phone and cash before fleeing the scene.

One man in the group is described as being around 19-years-old, about 5ft 10in, wearing all black with black gloves, a surgical mask with his hood up, and speaking with a deep voice.

A second man is believed to be aged between 17 and 20-years-old, with light blue or green eyes. He was wearing a black shiny padded coat with a fur hood, and a black face covering.

The victim reported that the other two men were wearing black clothing, face masks and black gloves.
