Whitstable remain at the wrong end of the Ryman League, Divison 1 South table after suffering a 2-0 defeat at unbeaten Walton & Hersham.
The Oystermen, managed by Mark Munday (pictured), frustrated their hosts for long periods, with keeper Kevin Fewell denying Walton on a number of occasions.
He was finally beaten on 73 minutes as Jon Boswell headed home a spectacular over-head cross from Adam Broomhead.
The second followed just moments later when David Tarpey finally got the better of Fewell, having gone close several times at the break, with a free-kick that sailed into the top corner. The defeat leaves Whitstable in 19th.
