Whitstable Town missing key quartet for Sunday visit of Met Police in Ryman League Division 1 South
08:00, 24 March 2011
Peter Nott is without four players for the rare Sunday lunchtime kick-off (1pm) against Ryman League Division 1 South promotion chasers Met Police.
Leading marksman Ian Pulman, James Peacock, Scott Heard and Lloyd Blackman (pictured) are all unavailable.
Three players have been promoted from the reserves as cover, Stephen Baines, Lewis Heard, first teamer Scott’s older brother, and Callum Day.
"The Police are on a good run and are well organised side," said Town boss Nott.
Ashley Ulph is doubtful after tweaking a hamstring in Saturday's 2-1 win at Worthing, while Gary Sayer looks set to miss the rest of the season with a similar injury.
Nott added: "We needed that result and it was a good all-round performance.
"They pulled one back near the end which gave us a nervy last five minutes. It was a good day at the office for us but we seem to be putting on all our best displays away from home."
Nott has recently brought in 36-year-old much-travelled defender Jermaine Darlington and young goalkeeper Brandon Hall to the club.
He added: "I have also got a couple of seven-day aproaches in for other players but can’t say too much about them as things are at a delicate stage."
Children under-12 will be admitted free to Sunday’s game if accompanied by an adult.
