Video shows 'robbery' in St Dunstan's, Canterbury, on eve of Lockdown 2

Shocking footage has emerged of a gang surrounding a car after a man and woman were allegedly robbed on the eve of the second lockdown.

Police were called to St Dunstans, Canterbury, at about 11.30pm yesterday after a man and a woman reported they had been assaulted by a group of four people.

A passerby captured the incident - in which a silver neck chain was reportedly stolen - on his mobile phone.

The alarming footage, which has been muted as it contained numerous profanities, shows a black car pulled up outside a shop in St Dunstans with its hazard warning lights on.

Several men wearing hoodies and tracksuits surround the vehicle.

As a woman screams and cries, a confrontation occurs between the group of men in the road.

Police say they are investigating the incident.

The video was posted to Facebook, where it has been viewed and shared hundreds of times.

Commenters have branded the incident "absolutely disgusting".
