A man's wallet was stolen after he was reportedly targeted by a distraction thief at his home.
The victim reported that the item had been snatched after a woman came to his house near Castle Street in Canterbury earlier this month.
Following an investigation into the incident on December 7, police arrested Carolyn Gleadall in the city last Tuesday.
The suspect, who is of no fixed address, was later charged with theft and two counts of fraud, relating to the alleged use of a stolen bank card.
The 35-year-old appeared at Folkestone Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, December 23, and was remanded in custody for another hearing tomorrow.
