Fire crews called to Grove Road in Preston after woman crashes into dyke

A woman has been rescued by fire crews after crashing into a dyke.
Firefighters were called to Grove Road in Preston outside Canterbury at just gone 9pm last night.
They were forced to use a ladder to reach the woman, who was trapped inside her car.
Two fire engines attended the scene and were joined by police and ambulance crews.
They spent almost an hour at the scene before leaving at 10pm.
A fire service spokesman said: "Crews were called to release a woman from a car that had gone into a dyke in Grove Road, Preston.
"Firefighters used a ladder to reach the woman and release and carry her from the vehicle.
"She was placed into the care of the ambulance service."
