Stranger touches woman under clothing in Canterbury city centre sex attack in North Holmes Road area

Police are investigating a city centre sex attack in which a man touched a woman under her clothing after attempting to talk to her.
The victim was approached in the North Holmes Road area of Canterbury, off Military Road, by a stranger who had come from the Spring Lane direction.
The man attempted to converse with the woman near the junction with Havelock Street before touching her under her clothing during the incident between 1am and 3am in the early hours of Thursday.
The woman was able to leave the scene in the direction of Monastery Street and the incident was subsequently reported to police.
A police spokesman said: “The man is described as around 5ft 10, of normal build and mixed race.
“He was reported to have been wearing a black cap, dark blue jeans and a dark-coloured jacket made from shiny material.”
