Man arrested after sexual assault in Palace Street, Canterbury

A 30-year-old man has been arrested after a woman was sexually assaulted in Canterbury city centre.
The attack happened in Palace Street between 3am and 3.30am on Thursday.
The man, who is from the city, was arrested on Friday evening and has since been bailed pending further inquiries.
Police believe similar offences may have been committed at other locations on Thursday - including McDonald’s in St George’s Street.
Officers continue to carry out inquiries into the Palace Street incident and are encouraging any other victims to come forward.
