Police investigation after sexual assault near River Stour, Canterbury

A woman was sexually assaulted as she walked by the River Stour.
She reported the incident after a man attacked her in Barton Mill Road, Canterbury, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police say the assault happened between 1.15am and 2.30am.
The victim reported that a man spoke to her and shortly afterwards she was attacked near to the river.
The man is described as mixed race with a London accent.
He was wearing a black padded jacket and dark clothing.
Officers want to speak to anyone who was in the area and saw or heard anything suspicious.
