Sam Billings released by England to play in One-Day Cup quarter-final
12:46, 13 June 2018
Kent skipper Sam Billings will be available to play in the quarter-final of the Royal London One-Day Cup on Thursday.
Billings had been called up to the England squad for the series against Australia and featured in the defeat against Scotland on Sunday.
He is now likely to feature in the Spitfires' match with Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
The last time Kent played a 50-over match in Nottingham was in 2015 during the group stages of the competition.
Billings top-scored with 115 not out as the Spitfires chased down Notts’ 335 with five wickets to spare.
