EAST KENT’S American football team is offering the public the chance to win an authentic NFL jersey and American football as a prize for re-naming the side.

Players and coaches from across the region have come together to establish a Canterbury-based team to represent the region in the British Senior League where it will take on other teams across the country as well as local rivals Kent Exiles (based in Orpington) and Colchester Gladiators.

The team itself already has close relations with the university-based Falcons but is looking to expand.

The popularity of the sport is growing, as the ITV coverage of the Superbowl suggested, and the club will welcome anyone who is interested into the side.

To enter the competition and have your chance of winning a prize e-mail EKFalcons@hotmail.com and, with the prefix of East Kent, send your suggestion.

For more information on the team call Bob Matthews on 07718 337075.
