A FUND-RAISING event is being held for Canterbury Hockey Club player Andy Holmes who is suffering from cancer. The tournament will feature the three clubs for which Holmes has played - Canterbury, Bromley and Beckenham.
The event will take place at the Beckenham ground on Saturday, December 29, with play from noon to about 4pm. Proceeds will be donated to the Royal London Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital. Details can be found on the Beckenham club website, www.beckenhamhockeyclub.co.uk
Each team will play both the others in two periods of 20 minutes, and the event will be followed by a social event in the evening.
Fund-raising activities will include a competition for the worst Christmas present, an auction and raffle, and sponsorship for goal-scoring.
Anyone willing to sponsor a goal, a team, or a match ball, or make a donation, may e-mail tcct@beckenhamhc.co.uk
