Gymnast Gore set for "experience of a lifetime"
00:00, 31 December 2008
Gymnast Kezi Gore has ended the year on a high after being selected for the Australian Youth Olympic Festival (AYOF) in Sydney.
Gore, who is a member of Canterbury Rhythmic Gymnastics Club, is one of four girls to be selected for the competition in January.
The 13-year-old will compete in the hoop and ball as well as the clubs. Earlier this year she was crowned British champion after winning the overall junior title in Stoke.
As a reward for being selected, Gore has received new clothing from the British Olympic Association.
Head coach Anni Ahmavaara said: "It will be an experience of a lifetime to go that far away and compete in a competition which is a bit like the Olympic Games."
