Kent all-rounder Grant Stewart has joined Sussex on loan for up to a month.
Stewart, 28, will be available for Sussex’s Division 2 County Championship fixtures, starting with their match against Worcestershire which starts from tomorrow.
As with all loan agreements, Stewart can be recalled by Kent at any time.
Kent director of cricket Paul Downton said: “Grant’s loan move will provide him with invaluable playing time at first-team level which will be of benefit to both Grant and to Kent.
“We look forward to seeing him back in a Kent shirt soon.”
Stewart played in Kent's last pre-season warm-up match against Lancashire last month, getting in the wickets, but has not been featured in Kent's side which played in either of their first two County Championship games against Essex and Lancashire.
