Kent's Adam Rouse is due to play for Sussex on loan for one game as he seeks valuable game time.
The wicketkeeper will feature in the county's four-day tour match against Australia A starting on Sunday, July 7.
Rouse featured on eight occasions in this year's Royal London One-Day Cup, managing 111 runs in six innings, a top score of 45 not out and seven catches.
His involvement for Sussex means he will be unavailable for selection ahead of Kent's Specsavers County Championship meeting with Surrey at the Kia Oval, which is also scheduled to start on Sunday.
Rouse has found first-team opportunities limited in Canterbury this season, with 20-year-old Ollie Robinson having asserted himself as first choice with the gloves in the absence of skipper Sam Billings.
The 27-year-old has meanwhile played a prominent role for Kent's 2nds, captaining the side to the Second XI Trophy in last Thursday's final against Durham at Beckenham.
Kent saw their bowling options reduced this week as overseas all-rounder Wiaan Mulder was recalled by Cricket South Africa due to an Achilles injury.
