Speedway star eyes world under-21 crown

KENT speedway rider Steve Boxhall flies to Sweden this weekend to ride in the world under-21 individual semi-final.
The 17-year-old from Sturry, near Canterbury, heads for Vetlanda, hoping to reach the final in Poland on September 9.
Boxall, who rides for Rye House, claimed four heat wins and a second to take 14 points from five rides in the 54-39 win against Armadale in the Conference League on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, in the British League, Boxhall scored four paid five in the Rockets’ 50-40 victory over Edinburgh Monarchs and two paid three in the 52-40 defeat by Somerset the previous evening.
