British Touring Car Championship machine to make rare appearance at Lydden Hill
00:00, 02 November 2017
A current British Touring Car Championship machine will make a rare appearance at Lydden Hill on Saturday.
Newly-crowned champion Ash Sutton will demonstrate his Subaru Levorg at the Canterbury circuit – just a month after clinching the coveted title at Brands Hatch.
Pluckley’s Nathan Heathcote, who won the British Rallycross Championship last month, will also appear in his 600bhp Citroen DS3.
The pair will race their cars in a head-to-head event before swapping to try each other’s machines.
“It will be great to get out behind the wheel of a British Rallycross Championship car, especially one that has just won the championship,” Sutton said.
“Rallycross is always an avenue that I’ve been interested in so I’m excited to be fulfilling an ambition, but I’ve never driven a rallycross car before.”
Track action gets underway from 1pm on Saturday, with a firework display due to start at 5pm.
Tickets cost £12 in advance, with under-12s going free. Visit www.lyddenhill.co.uk for details.
