00:00, 31 December 2009
Harriett Yea has been named in the Great Britain women’s basketball squad for this month’s EuroBasket additional relegation round.
The 19-year-old from Canterbury, who plays guard for Barking Abbey Rhondda Rebels in EBL Division 1, made her senior debut in the summer and is part of the 13-player squad that will take on Bosnia, Romania and Finland for the right to stay in the European Elite group.
GB head coach Mark Clark said: “Harriett played well for both us and the under-20s this summer and I’m delighted she will be part of the squad in January. Harriett will be an integral part of the team.”
