A man destroyed his former partner's belongings in a fit of rage by pouring nail varnish remover over them.
David Smart first chucked the clothes and slippers in the bath while in a fit of rage following an argument.
The 30-year-old, of Glenwood House, London Road, Greenhithe, admitted a charge of criminal damage when he appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court on Tuesday last week.
The bench heard the July incident also saw Smart damage a fan, which he said was his property.
He claimed he'd been invited into the property despite his ex saying she found him there when she returned home.
Magistrates heard he had a previous conviction for burglary, which he'd been given a suspended sentence for in 2017, and that he was sorry for his actions.
He was placed on a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered he pay £200 compensation to the woman and £85 court costs.
