A2 blocked between Darenth and Bean

A rolling roadblock was set up on the A2 this afternoon while police searched for a man.
The carriageway was blocked in both directions between the M25 Darenth Interchange at junction two and the B255 Bean Interchange For Bluewater.
Officers have been seen trying to open an emergency barrier to enter woodland near Bluewater.
The police helicopter was seen circling the area.
Police cars have also been spotted in woods next to the A2.
A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Officers are currently attending a report of concern for welfare of a man in the Dartford area.
"A rolling roadblock has been set up on the A2 at Bean in both directions while a search is carried out. Drivers are advised to avoid the area as delays are expected."
All lanes had reopened by 7.45pm and delays had cleared.
