Firearms officers were called after reports of armed men in Dartford yesterday afternoon.

Police said three men were arrested after officers were called to Joyce Green Lane at around 2.06pm.

A statement from Kent Police added: "Members of the public reported seeing a number of people who may have been in possession of weapons. Patrols, including firearms officers, attended as well as a police helicopter.

"At around 3pm, three men were arrested and taken into custody. Two imitation firearms were recovered from two of the men. A further imitation firearm was located in a vehicle."
