Basingstoke Town 2 Dartford 2

Dartford had to settle for a draw at Basingstoke Town in a Blue Square Bet South game that saw all the goals come in a pulsating first half on Saturday.
Darts fell behind after only 56 seconds when a long ball found Delano Sam-Yorke and he got between two defenders before opening the scoring.
The visitors responded quickly and were level after four minutes when good play by Charlie Sheringham saw him pick out Ryan Hayes (pictured) on the right and he fired the ball into the back of the net.
Hayes then went from scorer to creator as Darts took the lead. His free-kick went through the wall and hit the post, before Danny Harris reacted quickest to the rebound and tucked the ball home.

Darts’ hopes of keeping their lead intact by the break were ended on 38 minutes when Sam-Yorke hit his second of the game after beating three opponents and scoring past Andy Young from 12 yards.
Darts twice nearly fell behind to efforts from Matt Pattison after the break. Young did well to tip over a Pattison chip and then the Basingstoke player saw a shot hit the post and come back into the keeper’s hands.
Sheringham came closest to sealing the points for Darts with a 35-yard shot that crashed against the bar.
David Pratt then headed against the woodwork at the other end, before the home side were reduced to 10 men late-on.
