A serious fire at Swanscombe Marshes called firefighters into action.
An area twice the size of a football pitch was engulfed by flames according to crews alerted to the blaze at around 5pm on Saturday.
Two pumps, including a portable water container, were sent to the scene near Manor Road, Swanscombe, and spent about one and a half hours dousing the flames.
There were no injuries and officers from Thames-side fire station in Gravesend said they were not sure how the fire started.
