Burglars got away with hundreds of pounds worth of booze in a smash and grab at a Tesco Express in Dartford in the early hours of this morning.
The raiders shattered a huge pane in the front of the petrol station store in Dartford Road and headed straight for the wine and spirit shelves.
Manager Maxwell Antony was alerted by security staff and arrived at the shop to discover shards of glass everywhere and smashed bottles of alcohol.
Mr Maxwell said: "It was a real mess. There must have been more than one of them I think. They took mostly whisky and Smirnoff vodka.
"Thankfully we were closed at the time and nobody was hurt. Although I did cut my hand as I was trying to clear up."
It is thought the break-in happened at about 3am.
Police, including forensic officers, were called and CCTV footage is being examined.
Business resumed at the store at about 10am. It normally opens at 6am on Saturday.
