COLOURFUL flower and art displays signalled the 60th Dartford Allotment and Garden Society show.
Organisers hailed the day a success, with more than 420 entries - 100 up on last year. The show, held on Saturday at Dartford Boys' Grammar School, included displays of flowers, fruit, vegetables, paintings and children's work.
Organiser, Jean Dixon, said: "We are extremely pleased with how the day went and I would like to thank everyone who supported us.
"We are especially pleased at the number of people who entered competitions."
The flower show raised money for Archery House, a charity for disabled and mentally handicapped people.
