A296 reopens in both directions near Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford

A woman was injured in an incident that blocked traffic in both directions on a key road near a hospital.
The A296 was closed in both directions, close to Darent Valley Hospital with queueing traffic between the B2174 St James Lane (Darenth) and B255 Bean Lane (Bean) in Dartford.
Police officers and paramedics were called just before 2pm to concerns for a person in the Darenth Wood Road area of Dartford.
It is also believed the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance attended the scene.
A woman was taken to a London hospital for medical treatment and her injuries are not considered to be life-threatening or life-changing.
The A296 was closed in both directions while the incident was responded to but was reopened at around 7pm.
The Arriva 428 bus service for Darent Valley Hospital was being diverted as a result.
