Residents were warned to keep windows and doors closed after a major fire in Crayford.
Large quantities of waste materials and mattresses were destroyed in the blaze, which broke out in Thames Road at just after 10am this morning.
Crews from Kent Fire and Rescue were called to the scene alongside the London Fire Brigade at 10.17am, with nearby homes warned of a huge smoke plume generated by the flames.
Two fire engines were used to battle the blaze, which was completely extinguished by 11.30am.
Residents are now advised that they no longer need to keep window and doors closed.
