Tony Burman has promised his players will give everything when they tackle high-flying Grimsby in the first leg of their FA Trophy semi-final on Saturday.

The Darts travel to Blundell Park as underdogs but while Burman (pictured) is aware of the challenge which lies ahead, he is confident his players can spring an upset.

He said: "Anything’s possible. We were in the last eight and we’re now in the last four. Grimsby are at the top of the tree and flying at the moment. But it’s not about what position you are in the league, it’s about what you do on the day."

Dartford have already won at Blundell Park this season, with goals from Tom Champion and on-loan Adam Birchall firing them to victory in October.

However, the Mariners have not lost at home for three months and have recently strengthened their squad in an attempt to return to the Football League.

Burman added: "I don’t think Grimsby had lost for about 11 games when we went there. Things went for us that day.

"They’re a good side. We know that and they’ve strengthened massively since we played there with the amount of numbers they’ve got in the squad."
